 Gravity Die Casting :

In Gravity Die Casting, the molten metal is filled in the die cavity under the action of gravity. It is economically viable to manufacture today’s intrinsically shaped castings like Air Intake Pipes, Air Tanks,Inlet Manifolds,and Oil Pumps using Gravity Die Casting. In GDC, sections less than 2mm will not allow the molten metal to flow hence, a minimum thickness of around 3 - 4mm is recommended.

The surface turbulence of molten metal, sharp edges, surface finish of the mould and the quality of the sand for core play a major role in defining the quality of the casting. The entire gatting and runner system is designed to ensure the requisite velocity of the metal in the cavity. Also it ensures that the molten metal fills in all the cavities before solidification. The molten metal is free of stand slag, air or other gases. The equally important point is the ejection & breaking the casting and removal of sand core  from the bunch.

Today Bagla group produces GDC parts in the weight range of 150 gm – 6 Kg and catering to automotive requirement in Europe and USA.
