As the CMD, Rishi Bagla is responsible for a diverse set of forward-looking efforts: guide the overall strategic and corporate development efforts & explore new market opportunities that help expand Bagla Group’s ability to reach and serve even greater portions of the global community.

Rishi Bagla began his career assisting his father Shri Raj Narayan Bagla in the family business of manufacturing Jute products. In 1989, he took on the mantle of Joint Managing Director at Aurangabad Electricals Pvt. Ltd, a plant manufacturing magnetos, started by his father.

His dedication towards the group has been instrumental in its enormous growth. Due to his vision and leadership the company has dramatically increased its growth rate, diversified from magnetos to a range of products such as aluminum die-castings, fasteners, wheels & brakes to refrigerator components like condensers & rapidly gained a market share in every region across every significant product line.

With a career graph spanning a period of more than 25 years, Rishi Bagla has extensive, successful, hands-on experience in every key area involved in successfully running a rapidly growing manufacturing set-up. With a keen sense of business and technology, he has paid special emphasis to up-gradation of products and services. In 1999, he spearheaded the planning and execution of Bagla Group’s first international technical collaboration with Taigene Electric Company, Taiwan, to set up a state of the art plant to manufacture electronic magnetos, CDI and regulators.

Under his leadership, the Bagla Group went on to forge a variety of significant technical & joint venture collaborations with major partners such as M/s. LI-IN Electricals Ltd., Taiwan & M/s. Shihlin Electric Co. Ltd., Taiwan & M/s. Daelim Electronics Ltd., Korea.

In the year 2003, the group expanded its presence in northern India with a new unit at Faridabad (Haryana) for manufacture of different types of condensors for refrigerators. The company has won numerous accolades such as the “Best Casting Vendor” award from Bajaj for quality and performance in 2005, “Best Vendor” for outstanding performance from Lucas-TVS in December 2005, “Global Sourcing Manufacturing Excellence” from Behr-India also in 2005, Excellence award from Quality Control Forum of India etc., to name a few. In addition to this the company has also been certified with  TS-16949, one of the most prestigious certifications in the manufacturing industry, with stringent quality norms.

In 2000, Rishi Bagla was presented with the prestigious Udyog Ratna by the Maharashtra Government in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Automobile Industry.

Rishi Bagla graduated from St. Xavier’s, Kolkota, with an honors degree in Commerce. Besides work, Mr. Bagla has a passion for sports and has represented various clubs in badminton, swimming, volley-ball and cricket.

Settled in Aurangabad with his family, Mr. Bagla also devotes a large portion of his time and energy to civic and community affairs. He is a trustee of Nath Valley School, a well-known school in Aurangabad. A keen connoisseur of the arts, he is also the founder of “Kala Sagar”, a socio-cultural organization.

Muneesh Chawla is on our board of directors and has been a member of our board since 23-3-2006 He recently concluded his tenure at GE Capital Commercial Finance, where he managed their corporate finance business in North and South India. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Chawla was at IL&FS Investment Managers (“IIML”), the private equity arm of IL&FS, a large financial services company in India. While at IIML, he was instrumental in his role as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer in building the business from a base of $10 million under management in 1998 to over $150 million in 2004. He led investments across several sectors (IT, Telecom, BPO, Media, Retaining, Life Sciences and Manufacturing) and as a board member structured successful exits (IPOs and asset sales), recruited senior executives and formed strategic alliances for portfolio companies. Mr. Chawla was also involved in formulating business strategy and organization building for IIML. Mr. Chawla has a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A.

Mr. Navin Paul is on the Board of Directors at Bagla Group & is responsible for providing strategic direction to policy, objectives, and plans for a corporate-wide continuous improvement initiative. He has an extensive background of over 20 years, spanning various segments in the engineering industry, where he successfully led significant organizational changes.

Navin is currently serving as the Business Head at MICO, a leading manufacturer of hydraulic components, controls, and brake systems. Appointed to this position in 2005, he is responsible for leading the group’s Bosch Power Tools Business in South Asia. Navin joined Mico in 1996 & has since then, assumed numerous roles including heading Mico exports divison, which then achieved a 30% growth rate consecutively for 3 years. He was also instrumental in setting up the entire business network infrastructure for Western India though ‘Project Autonet’. His sales expertise helped the aftermarket business division double its sales turnover from 20 Mio.Euro to 40 Mio within a short span of 4 years. He has also won a number of awards and honors including the Best Sales House & Best Branch Awards.

Prior to Mico, Mr. Paul held progressively responsible positions within engineering, business development, and sales development at TI Engineering, Ashok Leyland and Escort Ltd.

Navin holds a Master's Degree in Management from FMS, Delhi & a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra. He is settled in Mumbai with his wife & two children.
